This K-Electric bill calculator estimates one residential month for K-Electric. Karachi and the neighbouring localities inside the K-Electric licence. The name on the bill is the real test of which company serves a house near a boundary. The energy rates are not a private K-Electric tariff invented for this page. They are the residential A-1 schedule in S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, the February 2026 notification published on the IESCO tariff guide and applied as the uniform national table. LESCO, IESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, QESCO, SEPCO, TESCO and K-Electric therefore share the rupee-per-unit bands in this project. Lifeline, protected and unprotected are three different ways of reading the same units. Lifeline applies on a slab meter when the month is at or under 100 units and the sanctioned load is on the slab schedule: Rs 3.95 up to 50 units, and Rs 7.74 on every unit if the month lands between 51 and 100. There is no previous slab. Protected use, for a household that has stayed at or under 200 units, is Rs 10.54 on the first 100 and Rs 13.01 on the next 100. Only this category is progressive. Unprotected use is one rate for every unit in the month. The bands run from Rs 22.44 in the first 100 units up to Rs 47.20 above 700. Landing on the next band reprices the whole month, which is why 300 units and 301 units are not one unit apart in money. The fixed charge is rupees per kilowatt of sanctioned load and depends on the band. A sanctioned load of 5 kilowatts and above is time-of-use on the February 2026 schedule unless you force the slab meter. Peak is Rs 46.85 and off-peak is Rs 34.53, before tax. The fixed charge is Rs 675 per kilowatt, assessed on 50 percent of sanctioned load when the maximum demand indicator is unknown, which is the assumption used when maximum demand is unknown. The peak share defaults to 30 percent of the month's units because the evening peak sits outside solar hours, but this page is a bill calculator, not the solar calculator, so the share is only a split of the units you type. You can change it. Taxes sit on top of the energy in a fixed order. Fuel price adjustment and quarterly tariff adjustment are rupees per unit and default to zero, because they are redetermined every cycle and a stale number would be worse than a blank one. Type the figure printed on a recent bill when you have it. Electricity duty is a percentage of energy plus those two adjustments, not of the fixed charge. The financing-cost surcharge is a reported bill component, Rs 3.23 per unit for unprotected and time-of-use use and Rs 1.43 for protected use, and zero on lifeline. It is not a line in the prosumer regulations. Leave it in unless your own bill shows zero. Sales tax at 18 percent applies to energy, the adjustments, the duty and the financing-cost surcharge. It does not apply to the fixed charge or the Rs 35 television fee. A non-filer withholding of 7.5 percent appears only if you tick it and the subtotal is at least Rs 25,000. Protected status is a six-month history, not a reward for one low month. The automatic category follows the units you type. If you know the bill says unprotected, set that, even if this month is under 200. A lifeline or protected label that the company has already removed will not come back because a calculator hoped it would. Three-phase connections, which prosumer connections are, have a minimum charge when both energy and the fixed charge are zero. An ordinary occupied month does not hit that minimum. Meter rent, a TV licence dispute, instalments and detection charges are absent on purpose. Each page is the same arithmetic with that company's name in the title, the explanation and the structured data, so a search for a LESCO bill calculator and a search for a QESCO bill calculator can land on a page that says the name out loud. The rates stay in one file. When NEPRA replaces S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, edit the bands once. All eleven pages and the solar calculator pick the change up together. K-Electric's own tariff page lists later 2026 notifications.
