Lahore Electric Supply Company sends bills in Lahore and in the nearby districts named on a LESCO bill, including Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Okara. Multan Electric Power Company sends bills in Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and the other southern Punjab districts named on a MEPCO bill. The name in the header is the practical test near a boundary. The energy rates underneath that name are not a private LESCO tariff or a private MEPCO tariff. They are the residential A-1 schedule in S.R.O. 279(I)/2026, the February 2026 notification published on the IESCO tariff guide and used here as the uniform national table. LESCO, MEPCO and the other distribution companies in this project therefore share the rupee-per-unit bands. Electricity duty is set at 1.5 percent for each of them, which is the domestic duty described on the K-Electric tariff page and by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspectorate of Electricity. The number that matters first is the units for the month, the kilowatt-hours the meter advanced. Lifeline, protected and unprotected are three ways of reading those units. Lifeline applies on a slab meter when the month is at or under 100 units: Rs 3.95 on every unit up to 50, and Rs 7.74 on every unit if the month lands between 51 and 100. Protected use, for a household that has stayed at or under 200 units, is progressive. The first 100 units are Rs 10.54 and the next 100 are Rs 13.01. The fixed charge is Rs 200 per kilowatt of sanctioned load in the first band and Rs 300 per kilowatt in the second. Protected status is a six-month history, not a reward for one quiet month. Unprotected use is one rate for every unit in the month. The band the month lands in reprices the whole month. Up to 100 units the rate is Rs 22.44, with a fixed charge of Rs 275 per kilowatt. Up to 200 it is Rs 28.91 and Rs 300. Up to 300 it is Rs 33.10 and Rs 350. Up to 400 it is Rs 36.46 and Rs 400. Up to 500 it is Rs 38.95 and Rs 500. Up to 600 it is Rs 40.22 and Rs 675. Up to 700 it is Rs 41.85 and Rs 675. Above 700 it is Rs 47.20 and Rs 675. Crossing from 300 units to 301 units moves every unit from Rs 33.10 to Rs 36.46 before tax. A sanctioned load of 5 kilowatts and above is time-of-use on the February 2026 schedule unless the slab meter is forced. Peak energy is Rs 46.85 per unit and off-peak energy is Rs 34.53, before the taxes below. The fixed charge is Rs 675 per kilowatt, assessed on 50 percent of sanctioned load when the maximum demand indicator is unknown. That half-load assumption is what the calculator uses until a bill prints a measured demand. The peak share of units is not printed as a national constant. Sanctioned load itself is on the bill, usually in kilowatts. It is not the same as the units. A 5 kilowatt connection can use 200 units or 800. The load decides whether the month is priced as time-of-use and how the fixed charge scales. Fuel price adjustment and the quarterly tariff adjustment are rupees per unit. They are redetermined every cycle. The calculator starts both at zero so a stale rate is not baked in. Type the figure from the bill in front of you when you want them included. Electricity duty, at 1.5 percent, is a percentage of energy plus those two adjustments. The financing-cost surcharge in the rate file is a reported bill component: Rs 3.23 per unit for unprotected and time-of-use use, Rs 1.43 for protected use, and zero on lifeline. It is not a line in the prosumer regulations. Leave it unless your own bill shows zero. Sales tax at 18 percent applies to energy, the adjustments, the duty and that surcharge. It does not apply to the fixed charge or to the Rs 35 television fee. A non-filer withholding of 7.5 percent appears only if you tick it and the subtotal is at least Rs 25,000. Three-phase connections have a minimum charge of Rs 150, and single-phase connections Rs 75, when both energy and the fixed charge are zero. An ordinary occupied month does not hit that floor. Meter rent, instalments, detection charges and a disputed television licence are absent on purpose. If the photograph of the bill shows them, add them yourself. The LESCO page and the MEPCO page run this schedule against the units, the sanctioned load and the category you type. They do not download your bill. Nothing you type is uploaded. Start with the units printed for the month, set the load, and set protected or unprotected if you know which label the company is using. Leave fuel and quarterly adjustments at zero until you have copied them off the paper. If the bill also shows exported solar units, those units belong on the net billing calculator, which uses the same tariff code so the import price and the bill calculator cannot drift apart. Exports are credited at the national average energy purchase price under the 2026 prosumer regulations, and that rupee rate is a reported figure, not a number regulation 14 prints.
